A Bio of sorts....
In 1996 I became an NLP practitioner and also received my certificate in counselling. Previously I'd been running groups and workshops in the areas of personal growth and mind management. Now I had a whole new set of skills to add to my collection.
I also expanded my understanding of the amazing potential we have to be successful at whatever we choose to focus on.
I found Neuro Linguistic Programming [NLP] fascinating, powerful and very helpful with clients and in groups. I began integrated my new knowledge into everyday interactions with people and the results were beyond my expectations.
One client I had was a 13 year old boy who had never stopped wetting the bed. His parents had tried everything they could think of and when we were introduced they asked me for help.
I worked with the boy spasmodically [they lived out of town] and within a few months we had the results I wanted. The bedwetting stopped and he was now able to stay overnight with friends, something he had avoided up until then. His confidence grew rapidly after that.
This was one of the first powerful confirmations I had about the capacity of NLP to change even long term neurological patterns. I've since had so much evidence I now take it for granted that I can assist anyone to make the changes they want.
I continued pursuing further learning in the field of Neuro Linguistic Programming, becoming a Master Practitioner and later a Trainer.
Along the way I was also certified to teach communication skills.
The area of communication opened up another new world for me. I was astounded at the results different methods of communication can bring. Even a simple skill like listening attentively to someone without interrupting with advice or judgement can make a marked improvement in relationships.
So I love to teach this stuff!
I enjoy watching clients and training participants have 'Aha!' experiences.
I get pleasure from assisting others to look at life in new ways, and empowering themselves to make valuable changes.
There are always solutions and improved methods for getting our needs met in appropriate, effective and healthy ways.
I've had so many personal challenges to deal with in my own life that I've worked extensively on change, growth and self empowerment. Putting as much work into dealing with past traumatic issues as I have, means I've managed to emerge with a great deal of insight and wisdom.
This is one factor in my success with empowerment coaching. Most of the time I can identify with what it's like to be in my client's position and because I've already met this challenge myself, I know that healing and growth are absolutely achievable.
I attribute the biggest component of my growth in consciousness to practising meditation daily for over 30 years.
We have an infinite array of inner resources which are always there for our delight and exploration. When we tap into these inner resources we are then open to receive answers to our questions, solutions to our problems, expansive vision, new directions, inspired ideas and unexpected gifts of awareness.

I've been an adventurer all my life, sometimes journeying into situations where I had no immediate mentors or people who had gone before me to explain the map.
I fearlessly pioneered the landscape I found myself in, often having the kinds of experiences I would need to address further down the track.
My focus changed over the years and my adventurous spirit took me deeper into my own inner resources to explore more of who I am on a grander scale. This is the journey I walk today
I have a foot in both worlds, where the best way to stay balanced is to live in the moment. This is also the way I experience peace.
